Game: Pocket Monsters Blue

Nintendo of Japan release date: 15 October 1996
Nintendo (abroad) release date: 01 October 1998
Players: 1

Becoming the greatest Pokémon Master isn't the easiest task to perform, so get started right away! Your journey begins in Kanto, in the small town of Pallet, home to the great Pokémon expert Professor Oak.

Before you begin your journey, drop by Professor Oak's lab. Your rival will be there waiting, also. Chhose one of the three tame Pokémon, receive your Pokédex and begin your journey!

Your mission: Just like the dream of Satoshi, your mission is to capture and tame all 151 Pokémon, and complete your Pokédex. Along the way, you will fight your rival several times, as well as other minor trainers. Traveling through the various towns and cities, you will come across gyms. You challenge the leaders of these gyms to battles in order to earn badges. The badges you earn will become helpful as you raise and train your Pokémon. In order to become the greatest Pokémon Master, you will first have to face the Elite Four in Indigo Plateau. In order to caputre all 151 Pokémon, you'll have to rely on your skills as a trainer to successfully level-up your Pokémon. Some Pokémon change or "evolve" into something drastically different when leveled-up. Some evolve with the use of evolutionary stones. (Eevee + Water Stone = Vaporeon; Eevee + Fire Stone = Flareon; Eevee + Thunder Stone = Jolteon.) Each transformation adds more power to the Pokémon, enabling the captures of other Pokémon.

Some Pokémon are unique to only one game. So this means that you will have to trade with friends in order to capture all 151.

Gotta Catch 'Em All!
